Our Work

In addition to those on Our Dogs page, here are current dogs in training and a few of the great dogs my dad has had the pleasure of training.  Ranging from obedience and behavioral training all the way to finished bird dogs in upland and waterfowl hunting, dogs reach their full potential.  Each dog succeeds because of an individualized program that best fits each unique dog, along with a trainer that provides one on one attention.

OPK's Girl with the Kaleidoscope Eyes JH CGC

Lucy was a pleasure to train.  She is a natural retriever and will fetch any game or object with excitement.  She is smart, eager to please, and a soft-hearted soul.  She accomplished her AKC CGC and Junior Hunt titles with us, with four back to back passes in one weekend to earn her JH.  She was trained well beyond that level in the field and water, completing searches for duck and retrieving it to hand.  She also held steady points and retrieved several types of upland birds before her time with us was done.  Lucy lived in the house with us, as all dogs we train do, and she quickly became like one of our own.  We will miss her, but are excited to see everything else she will achieve back home with her family.

OPK's Sweet Coraline von Marshall's
RN, RI, CGC, NA1

Our newest addition, Cora, has done fantastic in training!  We are extremely grateful to have welcomed her into our family from Ocean Point Kennel.  She is a firecracker and has demonstrated a very high level of intelligence from the beginning.  Cora loves water work and field work, and as a bonus she really loves to learn new things!  You can see everything she's accomplished on her page, and we believe this is just the beginning.  We are excited to see everything this little diva dog will accomplish!

Eulenhof Marshall's Lawless Luke

Luke was certainly true to his name in lawlessness!  He became one of our own before two years old.  He was a natural big ranging dog in the field, making him a pleasure to watch work in Iowa.  With targeted behavioral training he became a pleasure in the house as well.  Luke was certainly not easy to train, but always had the redeeming quality of just being so likeable.  He seemed to walk around saying "love me, and be my friend" to everyone he met.  He's great in the water and the field, and such a good buddy at home.

Sure Shot Ben

Ben was a littermate to our Scooter and truly felt like one of our own.  He was the perfect balance of high hunting drive and calm, sweet-natured in the house.  He trained right along side Scooter and became an extremely accomplished hunter of waterfowl, pheasants, quail, and much more.  Ben was so smart that he could play hide and seek, tag, and our version of soccer with his favorite red ball.  Even after his training was finished at 14 months old, he and his family came to visit us on occasion and we loved every chance to see Ben.  He had the best home and most pampered life imaginable, and Ben lived a long and happy life with his family who still miss him today.

Marshall's Mila-Minute NA1

Mila was an exceptional dog.  She was our first Weimaraner and was a wonderful part of our family.  She earned her name running so fast and then set a NAHVDA record earning a perfect score in her natural ability test as a weim.  Our shorthair Sadie had earned a perfect score first, but it was that much more impressive seeing a weim do the same.  It was a proud moment for my dad to read about her accomplishment afterwards, proving the time and training paid off.  Mila matched Sadie in natural ability and continued to prove time and again that she could do anything Sadie did from finding and pointing birds, to retrieving even in frigid moving water.  She would do anything to please and was truly exceptional in so many ways.
